Does SCSI increase boot-up times?

I was thinking about trying out a SCSI setup(Ultra160), but I'm worried that installing a SCSI card might really slow down my boot up. Is there any make of controller card that is better with boot up then others?

It adds rougly 5-10 seconds to the boot time. Anyhow, when you are running a NT kernel OS then you should rarely have to reboot anyhow. 😉

SCSI is cool!

Thanks, I was kinda of hoping that the slow down in boot up would be offset by the increased speed of the SCSI drives.
