Does Samsung only put half toner cartridges in their boxes?

I bought a Samsung 1710 back in Marchish. Ive printed 843 pages so far, text only and it the toner is so grayed out its almost unreadable..... the new toner costs $90 but is supposed to be 3000 pages....

so whats the deal? anyone else experience this? do they only put half toners in their box?

Yea.... i just found it buried on their website.... it includes a 1000 page "starter cartridge" bastards.....

considering mine cost $100 for the thing and the printer, that isn't bad. still cheaper than buying inkjet ink.

do you use toner save mode?

my NEC printed out a whole lot.. dont know how much for sure .
but i can safely say around 2-3 thousand pages

Heh my LaserJet 6P lasted like 5 years on the original cartridge.

heh my starter cartridge is at like 2300 pages. none toner saver setting either.

i have an full one sitting here waiting to put it in.
