Does RSV vaccine provide lifelong immunity?

I got my RSV vaccine an hour ago at Kaiser Permanente, Oakland, CA. The woman who administered the shot offered the comment (I didn't ask) that I would be immune for life. I asked her about it. She said the CDC could change their stance but that's what she's been given to understand (she didn't say those exact words but that was her message). I said I was told that the Shingrix vaccine (2 doses) are supposed to do that (97% effective). Anyway, great, but I wonder.

She did come off as very knowledgeable. I asked her several things and she was not wishy washy about anything.

A quick Google search yields this:

Currently, the RSV vaccine series consists of a single dose. Studies are ongoing to determine whether older adults might benefit from receiving additional RSV vaccines in the future. So far, RSV vaccines appear to provide some protection for at least two RSV seasons.Aug 30, 2023

Anyone have further information on this? Lifelong would be great, but I have to wonder.

The way that's phrased makes me think they just haven't gotten more than two years worth of data because the vaccine isn't that old.

The CDC's recommendation makes it sound like the smart people expect resistance to be lifelong, so I'd base my decisions on that.

That said, if you need another booster in 30 years, may you be happy and healthy enough to bop on down to the clinic and get one.

Got my shot 22 hours ago. Had a bit of soreness 4-5 hours later, none today. Well, I am a bit fatigued but I just played 18 holes of golf, walking a very hilly course.

AFAIK, I'm about as vaxxed as you can get. I have gotten all 7 covid-19 shots available, MMR, flu, RVS, tuberculosis, Shingrix and the Shingles vaccine before that, the list goes on and on. In fact, my HMO sent me a letter recently with all the info about my vaccinations over the years. It was staggering. Been with them around 20 years. Just a ton of stuff. Also, I don't remember ever having a bad reaction to any vaccination. Even covid-19. When I kid I'd be vaccinated by my father most of the time. As an M.D. he would bring them home and put them in the fridge. I believe in science. ;) To me anti-vaxxers are brain dead fools.
