Does Retail T-bird come with HS+F already attached??

I have a retail T-Bird 1.33 on the way. I want to overclock it and was wondering if it came with the HS+F already attached. I've purchased a TaiSol CGK760092 and a Delta fan for it and don't know if I'll have to remove the HS+F that comes with it. If so, I assume this will void the warranty, but how will they know? I mean if anything goes wrong with it, can't I just replace the original HS+F without anyone knowing the difference?
Thanks.

It comes unattached (it's a Socket A, how could it be attached??--it clips to the socket on the MB).

I think overclocking is great, just ordered a 1.2 TBird and I'll go for 1.4-1.5, but if I burn up the chip, that's on me, not AMD or the retailer. WTF do you mean, how will they ever know??? If you get the chance to shoplift because no one is paying attention, do you do it?

I don't mean to beat this into the ground, but obviously you don't know jack about computers, or you wouldn't have asked such a question in the first place. Why should AMD be responsible for replacing CPU's burned up by neophytes, which then raises the price everyone else must pay to finance your learning experience?

Overclock if you wish, and certainly ask for help and advice here if you need it, but don't come here expecting to be told how to scam somebody.

First off JimMC don't be so dramatical. I don't know that much about computers that's why I'm asking. Secondly, I was mainly referring to the thermal pad. I've never seen it nor do I know what it looks like. Is that already attached??

I too think if I were to do something stupid with the CPU they should not be held responsible. However, I don't think trying to get my 1.33 to achieve 1.5 with the TaiSol CGK760092 and a Delta fan while monitoring the temps is being careless. Who's to say, if my 1.33 T-Bird breaks down it's not do to a defect??

(sorry if my thought contradict with yours, but I don't believe this makes me a criminal)

<<Who's to say, if my 1.33 T-Bird breaks down it's not do to a defect?? >>

If you overclock it to 1.5, AMD will say it is not due to a defect if you tell them the truth. If you lie, you will get away with it.

Yes, the thermal pad is already attached to the HS. And I'm not being "dramatical". I'm pointing out what should be obvious, overclocking should be a risk you take, not AMD or a retailer. if you want a 1.5 Ghz chip and a warranty, go to Compuwiz. It's not fair or honest to shift the risk to somebody else.

I understand.. FYI, I'm not intrested in the warranty. I just found a better deal on the retail version than the OEM. ($184)

However, I do want to overclock and I want to set up my T-bird with TaiSol when I put the system together (first time). What I'm concern with is if I run my T-bird with thermal pad to ensure it works, will this make the thermal pad harder to remove when I want to replace HS+F with my TaiSol and Arctic Silver? I've got the impression that when the thermal pad heats up it bonds to the CPU making it harder for me to remove it at a later date.

The first time you start up the CPU, the thermal material will get gooey and bond to the CPU. It is one-time use--once you remove the HS, you will need to remove the residue before reapplying the HS with Arctic Silver or whatever. The residue is not that hard to remove, simply scrape it off with a plastic knife and then clean with acetone or Goof Off.
