I have 2.53p4 running on asus p4b533
i have corsair xms 512mb with them.

i was just wondering since i don't OC, does that mean corsair value would work just as well as xms for me, since i am looking to get 1gb MORE of ram.

thanks

Nope. XMS is completly worthless if you don't plan to OC and keep the tight timings. That's is at least in my experience. If anybody else noticed a performance leap going from 3-3-3-8 to 2-2-2-6, let me know.

I think your system will run better with the tighter timings of the better ram but if you will not OC, you don't need to purchase faster memory (ie PC3200 vs PC3500)

Try Tom'sHardware. Currently they've pretty well covered the differences timing makes to a processor where memory is concerned.
