Does Outlook 2000's outlook.pst file consolidate free space when you delete items?

Just wondering, cause I deleted 4000 email messages and it's still 70+ MB :Q And is there a way of shrinking it?

It's the file that stores your inbox/outbox/sent/contacts/calender, etc. for Outlook 2000

You'll have to compress your *.pst file. It's an option somewhere in the menus. Sorry, can't be more specific, because it has been a long time since I've used it..

Ah! Now I remember.

I just use Outlook Express myself but fortunately, we have Office 200 installed here at work.

Go to:
File -> Folder -> Properties for 'Personal Folders' -> Advance -> Compact Now
