Does onboard disable physX?

If the onboard video is non-nvidia, but disabled, does it still disable PhysX because it's present within the system?

It should not prevent PhysX if its disabled in the BIOS since then it won't be visible to any OS.

However, I don't own any Intel or ATI IGP motherboards to test with.

I would just be sure there are no drivers present for the onboard video as well, besides the ones possibly built into the OS.

Also make sure the device is completely uninstalled from Device Manager in case it had been previously enabled.

Last time I checked, if a non-nVidia IGP is enabled in the system (i.e. Windows can see it) then hardware PhysX is disabled.
