Does OCZ 5+ go bad?

I found this old thread, but rather then necro it I would just ask a more specific question.

The manufacturer's website doesn't really have any information, and the instruction page has been removed.

I purchased a 3g tube of OCZ ultra 5+ thermal paste about 6 years ago, but never used it. I've never even opened it. So firstly, I believe it should still be good, should I be safe to assume so?

Also, does application vary from product to product?

I've read that sometimes you need to remix it, but this is a 3g tube and mixing would require me to pour it all out. From what I've read with the aid of google, all things should be alright. I just figured I'd get some information from people who have used it.

Best thing you can do is just try it out and do a test spread to see what it looks like. If all looks good, even and the same color throughout, reapply and run some benchmarks to check temps.
