If you're going to call for real information in response to a query, it's best not to pollute the thread with what you hoped to avoid seeing from others.

The point of this thread is a call for "progressives" to actually describe in detail what they propose to replace the America that we know with.

It is a simple request, echoed throughout this forum in so many threads, and never answered.

Instead you proffer the hate mongering of yet another one of Moonie's split personalities, you have the one liners from the usual assortment of fringe leftists and you have your own replies without answers other than an expression of your personal hate of Christianity.

Oh, your excuse is that the question was not posed with the proper deference, of the rapt type that you give to your college professors spouting postmodern BS.

ROTFLMAO! :awe:

The utter silliness, the utter banality of the current crop of progressives is a disgrace. You should be ashamed of yourselves!

:awe: ROTFLMAO

This thread should be locked I can't believe it lasted this long.

stupid trollbait. STUPID F'N Loaded questions....is this what passes for quality political discourse to you? eh OP?

what a disgrace. And you are a smart fella, I know you are.

"What to replace America with?" how about your QUESTION is stupid and it doesn't deserve a response!

If I started a thread, about how the Republican party needs to change strategy and get away from being a party of racists, and then I proposed the following question;

What is your conservative strategy to abandon the racist platform?

do you think that is a fair question?

I have one word for the OP:

NOISE

N-O-I-S-E

Thats all what this is about. Its noise used for either distraction or flamebait. There can be no other reason.

I think....the OP strategy is clear. Flamebait. keep the fires burning, let there be no rational discourse. There is no middle ground, no way to see eye to eye.

Keep fanning the flames OP. I'm glad you are getting your rocks off.

Orbyte, you, like all progressives that post here it seems, are frazzled into missing the context and then ignoring/failing to answer the questions posed.

It is a legitimate question based on the negatively stated positions of postmodernists and progressives. It is not the first time I have made an attempt to get an answer. I have tried to approach it from the perspective of political philosophy in other threads, from the perspective of specific issues in others. Here, I cite an author that kind of summarizes the stands of both the right and the left and challenge someone to point me to a comprehensive description of what progressives/postmodernists want America to become after they go through the trouble of tearing it down.

I find myself constantly arguing against the negativism of the left, the progressives and the postmodernists. They sure can dish out the criticisms and when those are proved to be false, they resort to name calling. You only have to read this thread amongst many others to come to the same conclusion.

If the postmodernists and the progressives, led by the President and enabled by the Congress, succeed in destroying the America we know, as many believe they are doing with some deliberation, what are they going to put in its place?

It is a legitimate question based on the negatively stated positions of postmodernists and progressives. It is not the first time I have made an attempt to get an answer. I have tried to approach it from the perspective of political philosphy in other threads, from the perspective of specific issues in others. Here, I cite an author that kind of summarizes the stands of both the right and the left and challenge someone to point me to a comprehensive description of what they want America to become after they go through the trouble of tearing it down.

I can go and find plenty of people that say that the GOP is the party of the racists.

I can wax poetic about the Southern Strategy, about black voter suppression, about Trent Lott, Strum Thurmond, racist Teabaggers...etc etc.

So answer my question; what is Conservative strategy to abandon the racist platform?

:)

You earn all the negative responses you get OP.

NOISE.

Again, Orbyte, your words demonstrate what I have pointed out time and again. You are quick to find fault with America as it is, so you go on and on about how America needs to be taken down. That is also the premise of the OP.

But the immediate question is, what are you going to replace America with should you succeed in your effort?

Old line communists and socialists, literally your roots, had an answer at hand. But they were shown to be bankrupt at all levels, theoretically, morally, and economically.

Post-modernity, their successor, is all about radical plurality and fundamental uncertainty about standards of truth. Basically, it has to do with a crisis of knowledge. You and your friends demonstrate that each time you post and propose no solutions past the destruction you wish for.

I suggest you take a glance at the OP in other thread I started. The OP is postmodernism and how inadequate it really is.

A Pretentious Word For A World Without Rules

But the topic at hand in this thread is, should our postmodern President and postmodern Congress actually succeed in destroying the America we know (with your assistance, of course,) what are you going to replace it with?

Post-modernity is a climate or lifestyle related to the presence of radical plurality and fundamental uncertainty about standards of truth. Basically, it has to do with a crisis of knowledge. I'm not "trying to take down America."

Just like the GOP is not running a racist platform.

I am sorry, I don't think I can say it any more plain than that...wait...one more try;

- Your OP is a "Loaded Question" it is a fallacious argument.

- You will not get any serious response from me. You probably will not get a serious response from the majority of people here.

- You HAVE SUCCEEDED in making more NOISE. Congrats.

- You are entertaining. I just wish you could put your lyrical whimsy to something more constructive than malreasoned flamebait.

I guess I will take that to mean you don't know.

No worries. I can't expect anyone coming from an indoctrination in welfare liberalism/post-modernism/progressivism to offer a viable alternative to America as it is, no matter how much they hate what America is all about.

I've been thinking about starting a thread on a similar vein, but I think the issue goes far beyond politics, permeating modern life, and I wanted to avoid partisan nonsense so I started it in ATOT instead of P&N.

Here it be.

What you seem to have missed is the point of my post:

If you're going to ask for real information about what "progressives" want in detail, don't resort to using the same type of rhetoric that you so often lament. It makes your plea for explanation and detail look disingenuous at best, and ordinary trolling at worst.

A Republic with fair and just laws trumping mob rule and political/monetary interests. Add complete separation of church and state to that along with a program keeping grifters like pjabber out of any position of power to make it perfect.

Is this the new "progressive" replacement for the race card?

I really don't know why you have such a fascination with me, Moonie. But your posts have become increasingly disturbed and inappropriate. Maybe your friends can put together an intervention for you?

Don't worry about it, Moonie is only projecting.....

No worries. I remember when I first posted on this forum last year and he threatened to attack me and my family with a baseball bat.

Moonie is a classic manic/depressive. I figure we are somehow part of his therapy. Doesn't seem to be working very well, though, as the self-hating Moonie is now externalizing that anger big time.

I'm not sure you should be one to talk. Most of your posts have you skating the border of paranoid schizophrenic. Though you're not as bad as others around here I could name.

Yes, yes, one thousand times yes. That was his dream as a little boy growing up in Hawaii, to one day become president and drive the country into a downward spiral so severe there is absolutely no chance of recovery.
And you thought MLK had a dream...

Is paranoid schizophrenic how you would describe someone with a sweet sense of humor, a loving manner, oh so polite, loves hot chocolate with biscuits, drives the speed limit (except when he doesn't,) helps both little old ladies and any girl that looks close to being a Playboy model cross the street, shares his umbrella with them too when it rains, yet remembers to carry that itsy bitsy S&W 3913 most everywhere he goes?

Judging by the quality of your posts, I'm guessing he followed through and connected with your noggin a few times.

Often best to leave sleeping dogs lie, dontcha think, Blackie?

You will have to excuse me now, I feel another thread comin on...

I suppose the only thing easier than a gun to hide behind is a computer screen.

Blackie? Perhaps it was not the gun that kept Moonie away, it was the throng of sheeted horseback riders.
