It's a strange, strange world where "nuh uh" constitutes "showing" anything.

I guess I'll respond in kind.

Uh huh.
Thank you for affirming your complete lack of understanding of basic statistics. This isn't something you can say "we'll agree to disagree," you're wrong, there's no argument around that.
Me mad bro? Nah I'm not bothered, and you're right. The marketshare shift has been so bad for Nvidia that AMD made a whopping seven dollars profit in the past year, while Nvidia had to stick to a paltry $700 million profit. And AMD's ever increasing presence in the mobile space is threatening Nvidia's only chance at survival.

HI. Is this directed at Anandtheman? If it is, please excuse my response earlier. If it isn't, then you seem to have a problem with me personally.. in the future, please feel free to take it to PM rather than thread crap.

My original response to anandtheman, with quote: http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=33867429&postcount=42

Your response to my original comment with anandtheman's quote: http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=33867436&postcount=44

My response to you: http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=33867465&postcount=46 saying my original post quoting anandtheman flew over your head

Your second response to me: http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=33870140&postcount=69 showing that you still weren't connecting the dots

My response to you showing that my original comment quoted anandtheman: http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=33870494&postcount=73 linking you back to my original response to anandtheman

You, bringing in a comment which was never quoted or threaded with anything anandthemen, myself, or you were talking about: http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=33870530&postcount=75

I really don't know what else to tell you, other than it's still over your head.

This is exactly what you do every time you are called out and easily proven to be spinning or fabricating information. But hey, Civ V benchmarking is still cheating because it uses multi-threaded rendering, right? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

The fact that you're still throwing anything you can think of at me in any attempt to NOT look foolish shows your true intent. Nice try trolling, go back to your cave.

That would also explain the lack of support argument style, he who is loudest is correct attitude, and all data that does not support my view is invalid views ;)

If you care to elaborate with facts and data rather than inflammatory pictures and accusations, please feel free.

NV driver reputation (fair or not), Adaptive VSync, GPU Boost, developer relations/TWIMTBP, CUDA, PhysX, the fact that Kepler cards are shorter and less power hungry so they work with smaller cases and PSUs, etc. And some people prefer NV and look down on AMD. All of those factors and more allow NV to charge more.

Most of the things you listed actually push me away from Nvidia.

As a nerd I prefer open standards. Physx, CUDA, buttered up dev relations, viral marketing, ect are not of ANY interest to me.
I want the best DX and OGL performance for the money.

I'm paying more attention to general OGL performance as I plan to move to Steam on Ubuntu once it's released. At this time, at least on Windows, AMD is murdering Nvidia there and more than competitive if not superior (depending on what you're comparing) on DX.

You realize that steam running on linux won't make 99% of the games released on steam run on linux, right? Expect source games to work, and that's it.

If STEAM on Linux is at least a mild success, other game makers will move to port their games. I hope it happens.

The problem is Faildozer completely ruined any crediblity AMD might have had, and because people dont bother researching, they assume a company that puts out terrible cpus, wont do any good in gpus either

If you go in any mmo and ask about video cards in the general chat, everyone is like "dont buy amd, budget brand, if you want a real card buy nvidia"

At this point there is nothing they can do about it... They have consistently released great cards since the 4xxx generation, but its still not enough, it will never be enough until their cpu department gets their act together and stops dragging the brand name down

Plenty of Indie games already run just fine on both Windows & Linux.

Either way AMD's GNC runs DX11's Direct Compute API or OpenCL a lot better than the GTX 600 series arch.

AMD's Linux drivers are also open source. So the community has a lot more options there as well.

I'm also fine with PhysX not running on AMD GPUs even though I think this is foolish in general. I just want Nvidia to stop being pricks and block GPU PhysX on Nvidia cards if there is a AMD GPU present in the system.

Why not sell what should be a $60 for $100 instead if it sells at that price better than AMD's own 7750's? Nvidia is a business first and foremost. AMD's issue is they have underestimated the importance of brand recognition. AMD needs to make gamers think that the only way to be a "hip" nerd is to have their specially branded card in their computer. They also need to start paying their dues in the industry so big name developers write their engines with AMD architecture in mind.
