Does nobody like Pink Floyd - The Final Cut?

Hi all,

I hear many people who like Pink Floyd mention "The Wall," "Dark Side of the Moon," or "Wish You Were Here" as albums they love. While all of these are excellent (I love them all), one of my favorites, "The Final Cut" never seems to get mentioned. This might be my favorite album over all, though it doesn't contain my favorite songs (which are Time and Wish You Were Here).

So I guess my question is... does anybody else like Pink Floyd - The Final Cut?

I think it's an OK CD... that CD was Roger Waters last CD with the rest of the band if i'm not mistaken.

I don't know if I would put it at or even near the top of their list of CD's though.

I love it, like I do all PF albums equally. I personally don't find the Wall that good overall. How can you not love the Post War Dream? I mean come on. Great album, time to put in on.

Have you seen the movie to Pink Floyd - The Wall? The album makes a lot more sense if you see the movie. I own the DVD. Very good if you love Pink Floyd, but a very strange film.

Yeah, I like it. Of course, I like Ummagumma too. And Animals. And Meddle. And every once in a while I really need to listen to A Saucerful of Secrets, particularly the song Corporal Clegg.

Actually, my least favorite Floyd album is probably Dark Side of the Moon.

Probably my 2 favs just to sit down and listen to are Obscured by Clouds and Meddle. The Wall and DSOTM are also excellent as well.

Of course I have seen it, I own it. I just don't think it was that great?
I totally understood it, don't worry, but I find it really depressing and sad. It is a great piece of art, don't get me wrong, but it always makes me depressed, I'd rather listen to Meddle or Animals instead.

Yeah, I know, but I just can't get into it. Not like the rest. I'll listen to Several Species of Small Furry Animal Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict many times before listeing to Money.

Ahh... I get you. Yes it is really sad.

Yeah I do.
Though it's on the depressing side.
(Seems they finally got tired of him going on about his dad..........(Waters)..he left the band shortly after as I recall. {His call or thiers I'm not sure})

I figured since I was listening to Echoes, I would say my favorites are Ummagumma and Animals, and I hate to admit it since most people are exactly the opposite but I am totally over Dark Side of the Moon. It is definately my least favorite.

I did have a question for anyone who might know, but what was the name of David Gilmour's solo album that came out right after Waters left. It was flat awesome, and I haven't heard it in many, many years and was thinking about trying to half.com it. I like it better than any of the groups music.

Nevermind, it was self titled. Wishing I wasn't looking for work right now or I would order it.
