rev 2 board w/ xp2500
planning to raise multiplier but afraid might corrupt bios
(read on amdmb forum, one guy w/ same setup and locked cpu got fsb 175 (~xp3100) using pc2700 ram)

does nf7 have a dual bios/ auto cmos recover feature like the gigabyte vax(p) etc

or will this have to be done with the jumpers on the mobo itself

thanx

I've always been able to restart mine after a failed boot, by turning off the power supply (or disconnect the power cord if no switch) and letting it sit for a few seconds. It retains all settings except cpu speed, which returns to default.

I wouldn't worry about currupting the BIOS.

I heard the problem exists when too many settings are changed, and the BIOS or something can't handle all of it, and crashes.
