Does Newegg Canada ship from within Canada?

I was looking at their website and they make no mention of their address.

They say they ship with UPS and I will never use UPS if the package is coming from the states because you always get charged a $40+ customs inspection brokerage fee (that nobody else charges).

hehehe i don't know... i know they have warehouses in ky, nj, and ca... no idea about canadia

I ordered a wireless LAN card from them a few months ago and it shipped from NJ.

edit: I wasn't charged anything for customs.

They ship from their US warehouses in NJ and California. No brokerage surprise the only time I ordered from them.

As long as they collect GST, it doesn't matter where it is shipped from. the brokerage fee is to collect the tax.

"...because you always get charged a $40+ customs inspection brokerage fee (that nobody else charges.)"

Wrong. FedEx, UPS, and USPS all charge brokerage fees. If you use plain ground service, you'll be charged the most. However, if you use other services such as Worldwide Expedited or Worldwide Saver, there's no extra charge at all (brokerage charge is included in the shipping charge.)

BTW, I always use Worldwide Saver. It's only a few dollars more than Worldwide Expedited and faster. I live in west end island of Canada and the item which I ordered from NY usually arrived next day.

newegg.ca includes brokerage in their overpriced shipping, etc.

Pretty much makes it not worth buying anything from them because of that...

I agree. I just checked how much they'd charge for shipping and it's insane.
OP, I recommand that you use directcanada.com as their price matches with newegg and their shipping charge is a lot lower.

Newegg Canada ships all their stuff from the USA warehouses. The make all the arrangements and collect all the various fees in the original billing, so you do NOT end up paying any extra when the package arrives at your place.

At the time you place your order (and before final confirmation) the newegg.ca website will show you the TOTAL amount you pay. It will include what appears to be a rather high Shipping and Other costs. These include: the normal actual packaging and shipping costs (yes, by UPS) to a Canadian address, the actual Duty paid to Canada Customs (if any), the PST, the GST, and the customs brokerage fees (and Newegg obviously has negotiated with UPS a MUCH lower brokerage rate for their massive business). So the final total is ALL you pay, delivered to your home. Compare that to the same basis (total price delivered) for the stuff from any other supplier, and you'll be able to decide if Newegg is the best option. From my experience, the answer (yes or no) may change depending on the item, on who has a sale price, or on what other alternatives you have available. For example, it is easy for me to order from Newegg in the USA (or others) and have it delivered to a USA address that is 40 minutes' drive from my home where I pick it up and bring it back across the border, dealing directly with Canada Customs at the border entry point. Sometimes that is my best option, even allowing for the time and gas cost for me to make the pick-up trip.

My Canon 430EX II flash that I ordered from Newegg.ca shipped from California. No extra fees though.
