Does my singing voice suck?

Well, for my own response in terms of your vocal skills I think it sounds like it might be passable, but I'm more of a person that judges based on seeing visual contact with the singer to give a "vote" of how well they did. Emotion and visual cues being what I mean.

well, i certainly wouldn't pay to hear it. that said, if i heard you playing in a casual setting, i would have another drink and enjoy some modern english

Sing something that shows off your voice. That recording had you muffled by guitar and you weren't singing a wide range of notes nor did you display a high dynamic range.

I enjoy your voice and the interpretation is nice too, but you have to learn to carry your notes better at times as well as extend your range. This was a very controlled performance of this song...listening to too much of this tight control with abrupt endings to lyric lines would put me to sleep.

Overall, it exceeded expectations. Keep it up, you have a nice thing going imo.
 
I used to play for crowds of 300+ in my early 20's...

Now I'm teetering on my late 20's and well.
I've been out of the loop for a while.

My voice does not sound right... I see what your all talking about, this lacks emotion. It's also a bit depressing or zZz.
 
It could be the mike doping out, or my crappy speakers, but the low notes sound flat and you don't hit the harmony (if that's what you were going for).

Just use an auto-tune and write something easy to listen to with lost of refrain that talks about you loving a woman but how shitty you are as a person.

do this for every album; fill the rest of it with junk you are 'experimenting' with.

If you have to ask . . . I'm guessing that probably yes. Or in other words, < 5 on a scale of 1-10.

Sorry if that's harsh. My brother was a child prodigy on the piano and so I grew up surrounded by a bunch of ridiculously talented child and young adult musicians.

Pretty much exactly what I was going to say. As well, you missed a couple of notes by about 1/4 of a note (you usually corrected yourself and got back on key, but it was still noticeable)

Play something with more of a range, this song has like less then a half octave of notes.
 
You could use some pitch training, and you sound like you're afraid to project, but you can sing in a pinch. I bet half of your problem is confidence. If you're going to sing something, belt it out, don't hold it back.
