Hi anyone know if this monitor is around? I'm looking for on that is 19in LCD preferably w/ 16 ms response time @ 1600 x 1200 rez...in black. Preferably Samsung? Do they make one like this?

Edit: Damn I keep forgetting stuff in this post. 😉

Yes, you have to add the rise and fall time together. LCDs are much better than before, but I'm waiting for better scaling solutions and response times ~12ms before I buy another. Unless Dell has a sale on their 1900FPs for ~$400, then I'll pick up a second one. 😀

Currently no one makes a 19 inch LCD with a 16ms response time.
I heard that they should be out sometime 'soon'....I'm hoping 3rd quarter.

personally I'm waiting until they can match the color quality for the Graphics and photoshop geeks like me. Nothing and I mean NOTHING matches color like a super high end CRT 🙂

Yes, it does exist. It's just not available to the public right now.

Sony SXRD

That's a full 1920x1080 in a screen that only measures 0.78 inches with a 3000:1 contrast ratio and 5 ms response time. Imagine that technology applied to full size monitor. I imagine it's far too expensive to do so right now, but those are some impressive stats.

I looooooooooooove my Dell 1900FP although I paid $600 (retail was $799).

OK to get back on track.
19 in LCD
16 ms response time
1600 x 1200 res
black

Does not exist right now me thinks. But you guys know when its going to be availible? End of 03? 04?

Good read!

I just hope they soon will introduce some 16ms panels larger than 17". I don't think you should expect a 19" UXGA panel anytime soon, you may have to jump to a 20" for that.

I have a feeling that 10ms will be broken by years end. Viewsonic was promising 10ms for the beginning of 2003.....it never came to light but it shows that its possibly coming soon.

Sorry about the 17in I coulda sworn I saw one in that res w/ Hitachi. But I found some in 19in. But they didn't list respones time.

OMG! You are right, I did not know that 19" UXGA monitors existed. I stand corrected, you learn something every day 😱😉.
