And since most games require video processor pwr more greatly over cpu power i highly doubt your cpu is bottle necking. However, if you noticed that great of a increase in performance after overclocking, it might be your processor, but the reason why the game runs faster is because when you boosted your FSB, you also boosted your ram timing times unless u used a divider, and you quite possibly could of boosted your PCI-E bus frequency.
If anything is bottle necking look at your hard drive and concider raiding it. Hard drive technology is the most ancient thing in the computer life line. Were still on magnetic plates, something thats been around since the pre - 1980's. And even at full SATAII speeds, the IO rates are still snails compared to the processing rates and IO rates of RAM.
Think of it this way, if u run 3dmark with CPU rendering vs GPU, even the most highly overclocked cpu will still only pull off sub 15 fps.
Id get a hd to pair your 160gb, raid0 it, wait til xmas when conroe priceses settle down a bit, and then upgrade then.
