Does msi 648 max support 3.06 ghz chips?

Ive had this board for a while now and wondered if anyone is using it with the p4 3.06 chip
MSI web site says it does not support it.
They had Hype Threading support in earlier bios versions but have now removed it from their latest version 1.4
MSI had advertised HT support and was a reason I purchased in the first place.
If now it is not supported can I take them to court for wrongfull advertising. Maybe get a new board???
Surfing on the net I cant find anyone doing a review on the board using 3.06 P4.
mmmmm costly just to buy a 3.06 to see if it works

It SHOULD be able to run it, BUT might not be able to do HT.

I would call them up and tell them that you bought the board so you could get a P4 chip that supported HT.

It'd be a lot cheaper buying a new board than taking them to court and losing

Or, if the older BIOS revisions supported HT.. don't get the newest one?
