Will this myth ever die?

Your second article confirms that some dairy farms administer exogenous bovine growth hormones to boost milk production. Similarities between BGH and HGH(human growth hormone) may render BGH capable of some effects on humans consuming milk from cows that are given high amounts of exogenous BGH.

Congratulations: Your second sentence just contradicted both articles and all reputable studies on the matter.

But thanks for continuing the myth.

Haven't you noticed?
I used to tutor elementary kids during college and MANY of the girls already had boobs. I was shocked because I remember when I was in elementary school, hardly any of the girls had any boobs.

Another myth. Early puberty has been linked to the rise in obesity, NOT BGH. In fact, no reputable study finds any correlation with early puberty and BGH, much less breast size and BGH.

Adult mammals don't drink milk.

Growing humans should get it as a supplement to mother's milk after one year, but after 5 there's no good reason to drink it.

(wife and children go through 3-4 gallons a week, I don't care for it (except in cereal of course))

Now wait... Wouldn't the evolutionary trait of adulthood lactose tolerance mean that those people SHOULD drink and eat dairy?

Outside of humans, adult mammals don't cook food or wear clothes either.

The majority of humans are lactose intolerant.
Those who are lactose tolerant should enjoy the fruits of natural selection and drink milk and eat ice cream to their heart's content.

Note that milk is simply water with fat floating in it.

What is skim milk?

Water without the fat, which is why it tastes nasty.

I buy whole, but I'll drink 2%.

They don't post on the interweb, either.

Milk is an excellent source of proteins for men, not so much for women. It's great for calcium for ANYone. the fats in 1% and skim and mostly unsaturated, so they won't clog your arteries.

Just like anything else though, each person is different.

btw, milk contains the amino acid Tryptophan, causing drowsiness and sleep :) if you drink milk and can't sleep, try drinking warmed milk...the heating releases the amino acids from the proteins so you can digest it much quicker.

So which is it? :p
I'm confused by your question. It is both (1) small and (2) statistically significiant. A statistically insignificant number would be a number that is too small to determine. A statistically significant number is measurable and repeated tests should repeatedly measure the same number.

Suppose a basketball team wins by 1 point. That is a small win (as opposed to a blowout), but that one point is quite significant.

I missed the *those* in your comment so I thought you were generalizing. I just don't get why people won't eat sushi (for example) but they don't have a problem consuming the lactate of another species. Doesn't that seem odd? Would people drink the milk of any domesticated animal? cats and dogs for example? It's an odd cognitive dissonance that I don't really understand.

(BTW, I love cheese)

We evolved within our culture. That meant dairy comes from cows.

Things are the way they are because that's the way they happened. :p
