Does Macromedia Flash have any processing dependency on the video card?

I'm just wondering since certain animations on phong.com or flash based games would run better/smoother on my P4 1.6A + R8500 machine than my Celeron 1.4T + Matrox G400 machine. Not anywhere close to the latest and greatest but certainly usuable...

I guess Flash can be pretty "computationally" intensive?

Yeah, although many games if you right click given an option menu for what graphics processing to use. Or maybe thats shockwave? I'm not too sure, but I don't think they emphasize the graphics card as much as the CPU. Also, it will run smooth on most any computer so the Celeron should do fine. Unless of course, you're trying to run Doom 3 in macromedia flash ;)
