Does listening to 2Pac every now and then make you a thug?

Turkish

Lifer
I occasionally enjoy listening to some 2Pac songs as rap/hiphop today is crap... so does it make you a thug? 😀

No. It makes you someone that likes to listen to music created by thugs that are now dead. And the world is a better place b/c he is dead.

😀 :brokenheart: :lips:

2Pac should be considered like a Classic in the rap/hip hop era. Listening to him don't make you a thug, you hear some of the songs he raps? He doesn't just rap about money, cars and crap, songs like Changes and Dear Mama can melt your heart. =P

He talks about love (do for love), pain (no more tears), death (how long will they mourn me), life (to live and die in LA), sex/pleasure (Heaven Ain't Hard 2 Find), mom (dear mama), Californ-I-A (California Love), Hate (Hit 'em Up), etc....

His body of work is so diverse and covers many subjects of contemporary culture, and the plight of being a black male in a white society.

I was listening to 2pac all last night:

1. Thugz Mansion (Acoustic version w/ Naz)
2. Holler if Ya Hear Me
3. My Block
4. This Ain't Living
5. Thug N You Thug N Me
6. When we Ride on Our Enemies

My Block:

"What can we do when we are arrested? But open fire. Life in the pen ain't for me cause I'd rather die. The only time they notice a nig*a is when he's clutching on a 45."

The man had a ton of talent. He lived the ghetto life and sang the dispair the young black man goes through on a daily basis.

and no one here can forget "Baby don't cry".

Edit: I don't think lisiting to rap makes you a thug is your way of life that does. I don't consider myself even tho I spend most my days in the streets and would fuckk up anybody that gets in my way.
