Hi. I've read that the Abit KT7 and KT7A motherboards require that an HSF be connected to the CPU fan header or the computer won't boot (although I think Abit has since released an updated BIOS to fix the problem). Does anyone know if the Iwill KK266 has this same "feature"? Or, more generally, if other KT133A boards are affected by this?
This is, of course, an issue for anyone wanting to use a HSF that uses a power-hungry fan like the Delta 60 mm (~7000 rpm) fan (found on the Vantec FCE-62540D and GlobalWin FOP38 HSFs) and would prefer connecting the HSF to the case's power supply using the 3-pin to 4-pin adapter.
Then again, I guess this question would be moot for me if someone could verify that the Iwill KK266's CPU fan header can handle the power requirements of the aforementioned HSFs.
Thanks,
Antonio
