If that Socket 1366 CPU is running at stock speeds, you aren't going to get the full performance increase at 1080P with a newer generation card.
From the 4 games you listed, do any of them run at less than satisfactory framerates? My guess is only BF3 needs more performance. The other 3 games you listed are already fast enough on a GTX480 at 1080P I think.
Also, GTX480 has 15% or so overclocking headroom. Bump the voltage to 1.087V and see how far she goes
. You can change the TIM for $5-10 and it should allow you to take her to 800mhz+.
If you plan on reselling the GTX480, it's not a bad upgrade, but there is no way I'd pay $400-500+ out of pocket to go from GTX480 to a 670. You can't really keep up with the GPU race since if you buy GTX670/680 today, next year something faster will be around for $500. Honestly it comes down to how fast the 480 performs in the games you currently play. The future games you listed won't be coming out for a while. Things move very fast in the GPU space. 6-8 months from now, you can upgrade to Haswell and HD8900/GTX700 series.
If it were me, I'd overclock that CPU to 4.0-4.2ghz, change the TIM on the 480 and overclock that card another 15% or so and go from there.
If you play BF3 most of the time, that's where you'll see the greatest performance increase from the 480:
