Does it really mater which x16 slot I put a video card in ?

I have a 7950GT coming on wendsday to replace a video card in another system I have. That system has a abit AT8 32X and I know one slot says "masteR" and the other says "slave" but i'm just wondering since its a single card, if it maters what slot I put it in???

Hell if i would know, i never had a mobo that had a "master" and "slave" pci-e ports. So my guess yes it matters.
