Yeah, I know that. I knew that before I built my last rig, but I had other plans for the raptor to start with. As for the games, I still had to try it for myself anyways.

I installed HL2 and FarCry on the raptor, just to see for myself, and, BEHOLD!, all the review sites were right, and so was I: The raptors were no faster at loading/playing games than the current 7200rpm, 8mb cache, 8-9ms drives, so, what's the point, right? Wrong. My latest rig does benefit from the raptor being my boot/OS drive, and a big ole' reliable Seagate for games/data. I still have HL2/FC on the raptor, though, cuz I play them the most and didn't wanna feel the need to remove/defrag/blah/blah/blah/reinstall/more blah....you get the picture.
