Does it matter what your Bachelor's degree is called?

After I graduated with an Associates in Network Technology, I transfered into the only program that had distance learning courses available - a management degree called Technology Management.

My college also has a business administration degree called Management of Information Systems, and an information systems degree called Network Specialist. Before I transfered, my program was bachelor's in Data Communications and Networking (but the curriculum has been discontinued).

They're all bachelor degrees, they're all networking related. Does it really matter to employeers what your degree is called? Every college seems to call it something different.

It really depends from place to plaoce, but typically I'd say no.

Do you have an associates or bachelors? What level of employment are you at? Have you hired people before?

I have a bachelors in Computer Engineering Technology from DeVry... and all the "real" engineers on ATOT think it's a "fake" degree. 🙂

A bachelors degree in any field will give you an huge advantage over someone without one...

i agree
my job title is "Field Network Engineer" , i have a B.S. in Human Resource Management

i don't think it matters, but you shouldn't write in your resume something that you didn't really get. in other words, write in your resume your degree exactly how they spell it out in your diploma.
