Your gfx card might depending on its cooler. What case you have?

since i use no add on cards besides vid card i leave all the slot covers off and stick an 80mm fan in front of them blowing in at the vid card... definitely helps keep case and vid a couple degrees cooler...

Don't have first hand experience in the subject, but I would think that would be of marginal help. The vga fan would push some air out, but the rest of the warm air would rise and leave through the PSU and other case fans.



If you want a real boost in cooling performance then either do what cubeless said or get a PCI fan card.

IMO, air flow should be controlled by fans as much as possible and I also prefer positive pressure solutions to keep dust in my cases to a minimum. So I cover all extraneous openings in my cases, I don't create new ones...

I agree totally with Zepper!!
Only difference is I prefer negative pressure in my case!
I only have 2 lower fans blowing air over my harddrives!
All other fans
are iether blowing air at the CPU or vid card or acting as exhaust fans!!!
Works very well in my situation!!

i have a TT tsunami and a leadtek 6800gt. i might try all of them off and see waht temps do and see if i like it.
