Does Intel 810 Based Motherboards allow changing Shared Video memory ?

my friend gave me he's old unit which is an PC Partner Intel 810 based motherboard

my problem with it is that it's only using 1mb of memory as video ram... i want it to take 4mb of my memory

i believe its a simple bios setting...... do you have the motherboard book? if so check that if not just go farting around in the bios till you find it.

It depends on the bios... I have an ASUS MEW-L and it only goes up to 1 mb shared memory... <kinda sucky.. but sufficient.. I was supprised... other boards may have the option to deal out more ram to the video.. the dell machines I have will allow up to 4 mb... and most of them actually have the extra chips on the board so you actually don;t have to share with the main memory.... so the bottom line is that it depends on the board and the bios.... sorry
