Just curious because I am an Indian, and am tired of hearing comments about how Indians too are responsible, nobody has said this to me directly however which i am glad for. It would seem that since India hates Pakistan and somewhat hates the US that they would have no part in this. Also, the VAST MAJORITY of Indians are Hindu and not Muslim so it would seem that India is pretty far away from this whole terrorist thing. And another curious side note, how powerful is the Indian army. Could they take out Pakistan? or other middle eastern countries? just curious thx in advance.

I haven't heard anything about Indians being involved in this. I think people are just being ignorant about the turban thing again.

This is highly unlikely. India has been attacked many times by terrorists and many of those were probably the same groups that Bush is fighting against. India has a lot to gain if they side with the US but a lot more to lose if they had taken any part in this.

BTW, Im indian myself

no particular nation is responsible for this, no particular ethnic group is responsible for this, no particular religion is responsible for this

the terrorists go after anyone they can't control and anyone that doesn't share their point of view

seeing as how india has a population of about a billion and has the bomb, i figure they must have some military clout, for they have manpower and technology

Sudheer: India definitely is concerned about terrorism - just look at the situation in Kashmir. Dealing with terrorism is a daily part of life for people there(Kashmir). India certainly has a lot to gain from the war on terrorism. The question is whether the US is going to go after the terrorists in Pakistan and their training camps.

That's beautiful man. I love you.

Look, I'm not going to make any conclusions and I'm not for racial profiling of any sort.

<===look, I'm a minority and I'm from Berkeley anyway so I couldn't possibly be racist

but...UBL is funding everything, they were all Muslim, 14 of the hijackers were Saudi in nationality, Afghanistan allows terrorists to live within its borders

Make your own conclusion

thx for clarifying this up for me. It seems that Indian indeed has no part in this. After further reading, i have ascertained that India has the second most powerful military in the world. Thus, it would seem that they could blow pakistan out of the water if they chose to. Anyways i wouldh hope that they aren't that dumb. Also, i found it interesting that both China and India are racing towards military supremacy in Asia continent. Never knew that conflict existed, and if tensions worsen between the two countries we could have some serious problems here, #2 and #3 military superpowers going at each other?? not a good thing. Also i found it absurd that India spends such an insane amount of money on its military spending. There is so much poverty in that country, i know i have been there, that they should really focus on rebuilding their economy than trying to fulfill the pipe dream of becoming the dominant nation in ASIA.

yeah we'll it surprised me too. It seems india has really built up on its military during the past decade. I keep getting conflicting facts, it is either number 2 or number 3.

Is this quantity or quality? Because I think we've seen time and time again that a small, well equiped and trained army makes a bloody mockery out of a large one with significantly inferior equipment and training.
