Does increasing resolution reduce jaggies?

It only makes sense that by increasing resolution visible jaggies dont seem quite as bad, is this correct?

I mean 4X AA at 1024x768 may look somewhat similar to 1600x1200 with no AA as far as visible jagged edges go, right?

Yep, which is why I still think AA is useless for anything except for old games that can't run at high resolutions(Conflict: FreeSpace would be my best example of this).

What resolution are you talking about though? Surely not 1024x768 and up?

I run everything as high as I can, however Freespace for example is limited to 640x480, which looks less than optimal on a 21" monitor, to say the least.
