Does having your glasses in a different position than normal affect the results of an eye exam?

questions's pretty much in the title. i recently broke the left arm of my glasses, and now, instead of my lenses being at the same distance away from my eyes, the left one is closer and the right one is farther away. would the lenses being skewed affect an eye exam, and my prescription resulting from one? if it makes any difference, i have pretty bad astigmatism (sp), and my left eye has worse vision than my left.

i am nearsighted, and if i take my glasses slightly tip them, then i can see better (because i am looking through a different curvature) but if i tip the too far, then things start getting blurry.

so it really depends on how far broken/ tipped the glasses are

*rotates glasses back and forth in front of face* hmmmmm yeah I think it does skew a bit

Edit: Yes I think that would affect your prescription
