i intend to connect the vga to my xbox 360 and the dvi to my computer. i has both inputs. will ibe able to switch b/w the 2 inputs at the flick of a switch (i had a 21" crt that allowed this so i don't see why not). also is this lcd any good for fast gaming (on a budget). and will it handle the xbox's 720p (1280x720) res alright ?

Yes you can, i do exactly that with two computers.

I'm not up to speed on which 19" screens are good for gaming, check out the sticky at the top of the thread. Either the PS3 or Xbox is lacking a hardware upscaling module which means your screen would have to do the job (as the 19" has 1440 x 900 you'd either have black bars or more likely a scaled up picture). Unfortunately i can't remember which one of the two it was.
