i have an antec slk300-b case and it has a 120mm fan on the back and a slot for a 120mm fan on the front and there's like a vent hole on the side panel, i'm just wondering if getting a 120mm fan for the front slot would help the temp out much

The front fan is mainly for cooling the HDDs so a low and slow fan is fine.

It really depends on your setup.

Do you have a lot of deadspace, and does heat tend to build up in that part of your case? If so, putting on an intake fan might cause enough turbulence to drop temps a bit.

If not, it will not make any difference at all, except for the added noise of another fan.

I don't have an intake fan. I can feel the air getting sucked into the front by the exhaust fan pressure, and adding one never really helped me all that much. Not enough to put up with the sound, anyway.

I agree. Use a 120mm front fan and run it slow to keep the noise down. It should also help get some additional airflow over the NB, SB and RAM.
