Does Google Reader just delete entries after a while?

Well? Does it? I get the impression that it does, but the searching only shows how to delete feeds, which is... not what I'm talking about. At all.
 
You probably just have it set to show only new items. You can switch it to all items which will show you everything from way back when.
 
Actually... it does appear to. I was looking at something that had 8 new entries yesterday, I didn't read any of them, and now there are 7. I checked the settings to see if there was anything in re: time limits, saw nothing.
