Does Google Look Like Bing For Anyone Else?

I just went to google, and it has a blue magnifying glass to search now, similar to bing's yellow one. I'm going to miss the buttons under the search window, although they weren't much use now since the auto preview was released. No more I'm feeling lucky.

This is how it looks for me.

Just tried it in both Chrome and IE - no magnifying glass.

Big web companies test features on select (or random) groups of users all the time. Chances are you're in one of those groups.

I read an article a few days ago about how they were going to change up the home screen again. Something about the "I'm feeling lucky" button was a throwback to their earlier days that isn't used much any more.

Found the article.

That's what I'm thinking. The whole building has this screen on FF4, but not FF3 or IE.

Yup, that is what mine looks like. I'm feeling lucky isn't used much anymore because as you type something in, it jumps to the next screen with the links. Unless you disable that feature, I'm feeling lucky is useless as you can't click the button before it goes to that following page.

Back to normal today. I'm glad, I prefer the 2 buttons below the search field, as useless as they are.

I always just do my search from the address bar now. No need to go to google.com for that. I only go to google.com when someone mentioned about the cool doodle they have for the day.

I dont normally see the home page cuz of Chrome, but the results page changed and I dont like it.
If they are trying to copy Bing and IE then I must cry.
