I rarely look directly at the side monitors. They're for peripheral immersion.

I love the increased FoV of landscape, and playing at 5040x1050 means my 5970 can drive most games at max or near max settings.

I cant play with single screen anymore.
it lacks depth, immersion and is simply a turn off.
bezels is a non issue due to them being deleted while gaming.
120hz 5040x1050 is just such a great thing.

To use the side-screens for something isn't for extra gadgets or widgets, its for making sure the visual cues where the eyes register motions and movement which adds to a real time how the brain reacts to the surroundings.

I have triple screen eyefinity, but mostly play Starcraft II so I use just the middle screen for that.

When I play FPS games, I think of it's effect as very nice. When you have eyefinity, it's like looking out of your car where you have the front windshield and two side windows so you get a full view. Yeah, you mostly look out the front window where the action is, but nice to have the side windows (and side mirrors) for peripheral and when passing etc. and the A-pillars are there to block your view just like the bezels of a monitor. But not using eyefinity would be like blocking out the side windows of your car - you could still drive, but it would suck not having peripheral vision.

The morale of this topic must then be to NOT buy into Eyefinity. If you go the Eyefinity route, you will get wasted, addictive as it must be.
