uhhh, these 'energy' drinks don't actually give you energy, they just you vitamins and other stuff...energy = protein, fat, carbs. hell yeah I learned something in nutrition class.

If you want energy, eat some bread.

I just tried some and it definite tastes different from regular pepsi.
To me, regular pepsi tastes better.

caffeine and whatever those other things (guatamalalamamine and tatooine or whatever) might not be "real" energy but they still wake you up...eating a piece of bread in the morning will not do the same as drinking a cup of coffee.

It also uses a different sweetener. I think it tastes much more like Pepsi than Diet Pepsi

I rather like Diet Pepsi Max. It's much closer to regular Pepsi in taste than Diet Pepsi. Sweeter.
As far as "energy", It seems about the same as Mountain Dew.

If I want energy, nothing beats coffee.

Shock Coffee isn't the best tasting (though it is the best tasting blend with some robusto IMO)
I make it super strong and it never fails to help wake me up in the AM.

I think it's an amped up version of the "Pepsi One" formula they canned a few years back. Pepsi One was my favorite diet cola. It was the least diet tasting of the bunch.

This is even better. With a bit more punch.

I like it.

It's a little closer to regular Pepsi than diet Pepsi...but I don't notice it giving me any energy. I like it because it tastes good :)

Max has an earthy taste and it does have a noticeably stronger stimulant effect than diet pepsi. I prefer the taste of diet pepsi to Max. Max doesn't taste very good with ice.

I'm drinking one right now - this thread made me try it, ahha. Like most people said, it doesn't taste AS diet-y, but its there to a bit. Don't know about the energy yet.

The only thing in energy drinks that could possibly give you energy are caffeine and sugar. So if you're drinking a sugar-free energy drink you might as well take a caffeine pill, a multivitamin and drink a glass of water.
