does dell's warranty cover the battery. mine seems to be losing its charge

initial warrany is 1/2000 to 1/2001 extended 2001 to 2003. I think laptop batteries are only covered during the initial warranty. not sure though

I had the battery do the same thing on my Inspiron 7500. I ended up buying a replacement from a site off of Pricewatch and have been going great for probably a year now. They do have a battery recalibration tool that may help... worth a shot before buying a new/used battery.

WHy don't you call Dell to see if it will be covered. The battery might be covered under the extended warranty.
