Does Dell over or under estimate their ship date?

Just curious... anxious to get my new laptop. Says the scheduled ship date is the 13th and it should get here on the 16th.
 
I bought a laptop a couple weeks ago, and their estimated ship date was about 10 days from the purchase date, but it shipped in 3.
