Does corldess phone interfere with wireless mouse/keyboard

Hello guys. I am someone who has been using the same keyboard and mouse for 3 years now. The mouse is beyond working order....wheel feel off, right click doesn't always work.
Keyboard has it much worse. Not only there is more pounds of semen on it than number of keys, the numpad is pretty much dead with exception of 7, 8, 9 keys.

I am also someone who has been using wired internet and never tried wireless.

Anyways few general questions.

1)My cordless phone is 2.4GHz frequency. Will it interfere with my wireless keyboard/mouse/adapter?

I plan to upgrade mouse/keyboard/wireless adapter all at the same time and I need to know if my cordless phone which is located like 30 inches away from both receivers will somehow interfere.

2) If I don't plan to play any games over wireless connection...should I somehow be bothered with internet signal not being strong enough...or or constantly disconnecting?

Thanks so much for your help.

0) Never share that again, please.

1) Yes, 2.4Ghz can interfere, but it's not as simple as that. "2.4 Ghz" is a spectrum of frequencies around 2.4Ghz. Within that spectrum there are 11 standard "channels". The standard way of doing things is to assign devices to 1,6, and 11, which will not interfere with one another; others hold that 1, 3-4, 8, and 11 won't interfere and thereby give you one more channel. Routers can always have their channels switched and most cordless keyboards and mice permit that as well, so you may be ok. There's no real way for us to tell you, other than that they could potentially interfere and that there are potentially workarounds.

2) I don't know. Are you bothered by the internet signal not being strong enough or constantly disconnecting? Only you can decide whether or not you'll be bothered. It won't do any harm to any devices, if that's what you're asking.

Sorry I meant to word it differently.

The real question should have been:
Is there a possibility that wireless connection will always disconnect or require me to constnaly refresh to get all pictures on certain website show? I know gamers dislike wireless connections a lot. Is it same for regular people who don't play games and just want a constant reliable internet?

What if I get bluetooth keyboard/mouse. Will it somehow change the interference problem I might have?

Or what if I buy 5.6GHz phone instead...will it fix my future problem?

Modern wireless connections are quite stable. I have played a lot of World of Warcraft with no problems. FPSs might be different, though.

A Bluetooth keyboard and mouse would prevent any interference problems.

My wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse had an auto-configuration feature. I use a cordless phone near them with no problems.

Sorry I meant to word it differently.

I don't think you could have worded it differently, unless you meant to type 'Cheetos'. Glad I ate breakfast over two hours ago.

I think wireless routers have error correction technology that pretty much makes the cordless phone issue a non-issue at this point. 2.4 and 5 ghz. signals are ubiquitous in any populated area these days.

thanks for sharing that. Really. It was relevant to your question, and something I really wanted to know about you and your keyboard.

2.4GHz phone is a No no in Wireless Network environment (WIFI. 802.11b/g)

Some people claim that they do not have a problem, but what it means that while the Signal to noise Ratio reduces the efficiency of the Wireless connection it is Not so bad that we are suffering.

As for Keyboard and Mouse. I heard some dubious stories but I never encountered such a problem and I have many kind of Wireless peripherals from most name brands.

In addition, the price of 5.8GHz phone is so low that there is No reason to use the clunky 2.4GHz.

I have got to get an undo button for my memory. I let it slip by until someone added the word Cheeto's to it. I just trashed the open bag. Think I will buy a new keyboard tomorrow since Cheeto's are probably in this one. Pounds you say ??? I hope those were free sites.

Anyhow to add to the discussion most wireless keyboards have a very small distance that they will work from, most are spec'd far less than the 30 feet guesstimate of bluetooth. Routers have big problems in apartment buildings , dorms etc from others raggedy and out of calibration wireless phones. Buy your self an high gain antenna for your system or your router about 10dB. I find putting it on the system end works better in a crowed area and keeps lock from breaking; or on the router end in a less crowded area.

i live in a condo and seem to be in a heavy rf area - i have condos on all sides of me and more condo complexes across all streets, so a lot of dense rf conditions when you take all the 2.4GHz sh!t that i am surrounded by.

that being said, i have been running a wifi g laptop for about 1 1/2 yrs now. the office is where all the computer equipment is but i can get online via wifi all around the condo but don't always get the best speeds - usually around 3Mbs down and 512Kbs up. this is on a 12+Mbs cable connection. latency on the wifi is also 3-5x more so than w/ a cat5 cable.

for browsing, no biggie, the sites don't time out and neither does the connection but there is no way i would game on it.

as for phone i recently picked up a 5.8GHz model and as soon as i plugged it in i heard the neighbor and tons of static. back it went and now i have one of the dect 6.0 phones - not sure if it is a marketing gimmick or not but will see once i charge all the batteries up.
