Does cnn.com hang your browser?

This has been going on for a while now. IE will just hang when I'm at cnn.com. I have to use the 3 finger salute to get out of it. I thought it was my system but I just did a fresh install of Win XP and it still does it.

 
My browser is not hanging, but it takes several minutes for cnn.com to load for me in Firefox. Even then, pages don't load completely.
 
I just went there with IE, and it loaded immediately - then I hit BACK and immediately was back here. No problem noted. I did have a popup blocked, however. Maybe that is the key?
