Does Biden's fake emotional moment bother you?

It was a nice try but c'mon, Biden is no Bill Clinton.

I dunno... I bought it. It was in a strange spot, though. But even stranger was Palin's total non-response to it.

Sure it was fake?

You're going to feel pretty stupid if it turns out to have been genuine - but that must be a pretty common feeling for you by now.

I agree on both counts (buying it and being surprised by the non-response).

its really easy to get emotional about the circumstances he was talking about

maybe the argument you would be better off trying to make is, why did he have to bring it up in the first place?

I think maybe its something you can understand better of you have kids

What deep personal tragedy have you weathered and then completely shaken off in life that you can confidently say he was faking any damn thing, Opie?

This thread is in pretty poor taste considering that Biden was relating a real-life tragedy that did occur to him. Maybe it was 36 years ago, but he did lose a wife and a daughter in a car accident, and his 2 sons were critically injured.

OP is a dirtbag.

My memory might be failing me, but I don't think he was discussing the accident 36 years ago when he teared up-- wasn't he talking about his son being deployed to Iraq soon?

No, it was when he was talking about the accident.
