Holy shit... I knew it. I KNEW IT. I bitched several times about banks doing this in order to maximize NSF's...

Fucking banks and their NSF fees. I hope other banks get sued as well.

Agreed. they manipulate the payment to increase overdrafts...WaMu has done it to us before.

File a claim?

I filled this out.

Happened to a friend of mine. He has BoA. The order in which they process your transactions was the problem. Is it so hard in this day and age to process a transaction via the time and date it was made geez lol.

It's not that they weren't capable of processing the transactions in order, it's that they were deliberately rearranging the order of the transactions such that the largest ones were processed first, which generated the most NSF fees for the bank.

Oh i know what they were doing. I just cant believe they think most people wouldnt notice and complain. Took me all of 2 minutes to figure it out when he brought up the problem to me. Bastards.

Thing is they hide behind all sorts of excuses, and it usually is spelled out in their disclosure statement which is 20 pages of finely printed text long in legalese. My favorite was the fact that I could take the same transactions sometimes and only end up with 1 NSF instead of 9. It amazes me they just to take transactions in order as they're presented.

Did anyone actually put in their bank account number? That worries me, but I've had three addresses in the past 4 years and don't want to be denied.

Your bank account number is on checks, it isn't that well kept of a secret. You could put multiple addresses separated by semicolons.

precisely why I changed accounts. They are scam artists. However they have not change the policy. They are still doing this.

VOTE FOR STICKY! EVERYONE SHOULD GET THERE MONEY.

Yea I always laugh at old people that think check-cards arent "safe". They then hand someone a check that has thier Name, Address, Bank Account and Routing #s, and usually they will write your DL# on the check as well when they see your ID.

I don't remember if I was charge a NSF between that 7 year span.

EDIT: Counted Y2000 when it should have been left out.

USbank did this years and years ago. I figured it out and like usual people called me crazy. For being smarter or more observant than the general idiot I always get branded a nut or something. Later on it came to light about their shady dealings. No one got sued though, they basically got a slap on the wrist. Bunch of crap. It's also really really sad how people just go along and trust everyone no matter what. Never question anything. just "oh ok sure thing sounds good to me!".

I personally know at least a few other people that had the exact same problem with US Bank, and it's the same reason I left them.
