does autozone do free diagnostics?

i checked their website and it only say battery, alternator, etc.

anyone know if they will do obd stuff?

my cars been hesitating on acceleration after it warms up (02 sensor, maybe), but the two mechanics i took it to dont have the obd thingy (which is unbelievable retarded), so one of them suggested autozone.

They don't do it anymore. The small shops in many areas complained so loudly that Autozone was doing for free what they rape you to the tune of $65+ to do that they stopped the practice. Pretty unfortunate, really.

You don't need a "certified mechanic" to read the output of an ODBII system, it spells out the problem pretty clearly.

Around here they will hook up to your OBDII computer connector and read out the prob for free. (Western Mass)

My bud just had it done last week to see what her check engine light was on for, turned out the gas cap wasnt on tight 😉 They read it out and cleared it for her no charge.

Guess it depends on where you are.

Hey, I'll have to check this out... my "check engine" light has been on for about a year now. Thanks.
(car runs fine, all fluids (oil, etc.) are okay, temperature is fine, mileage is good, but doesn't matter to me - 8 miles a day, so, I've said screw it. I'm not paying upwards of $100 for someone to diagnose a problem when they don't do anything except hook the car up.
