Yes. And whole lot more.

If people really knew all the things you could do with Apple TV, every house in America would own multiple units.

Not only can you watch it on your AppleTV, with Airplay you can start it on your ipod touch and send it to your AppleTV automatically if they are on the same network.

I have two, both with xbmc. Does that count? :)

Enable home sharing, sign in on AppleTV. Enjoy easy media from other computers on the network.

Of course. It's just 8 gig iPod Touch without the screen,N wireless, and HDMI. People are fine paying $10 a month to NetFlix for the same content.

There's no Amazon Video on Demand, no Hulu, no streaming other things outside of your iTunes library.

Only if you use it as Apple intended. But seriously who would buy Apple TV to use like that except for the diehard Apple fans and tech novice? Who needs Hulu, or crappy Amazon Video on demand when you have better options with jailbroken AppleTV.

AppleTV streams anything in your iTunes library correct? At least that is the impression that I got. So if the video podcast can play in iTunes then it can play on your AppleTV.

What other options are there? I wish it could do Hulu...

Google "IceFilms".
Google "Navi-X".

That's all I'm going to say since it's probably against the rules and I've mentioned it numerous times on other ATV2 threads. You wont care about Hulu if you have the above two I promise you.

Because appletv couldn't do hulu I bought a rokubox.

The thing is rock solid and awesome. Plus now that there is a plex client for it I can stream all my own personal media (with transcoding) to my rokubox.

I get hulu, netflix, plex, and tons of other channels like amazon on demand or UFC (including live pay per views).

AppleTv directly plays podcasts off the net. I use it to watch Maddow and nightly news poscast all the time.
BTW... Tivo just added hulu-plus if you just need a tv connected device.
Tivo also does netflix and amazon movies.

Are you streaming from the web or are there plugins?
