I have suffered with this problem for many, many years. Recently I started taking Melatonin, and it has helped dramatically. I do take 4 at bedtime instead of the recommended dose though, and it took a few weeks to settle into my body so to speak. Now, things are totally different. I fall asleep within 20 minutes and I sleep so much better through the night

4?? Wow, 1 works for me. Are you taking the 3mg size capsule?

5 mg tablets

wow, 20mg a night. I'm curious.. Do you have wierd dreams with that high dosage?

Not at all. In fact I have been having quite blissful dreams since I began taking Melatonin. :)

So any less then 20mg just doesn't produce the same effects for you?

Seems to help me to stay asleep when taking 20 mg. One of my other issues was also waking every hour or so (once I fell to sleep) and never getting to that "deep sleep."

I did some research before taking Melatonin and didnt find anything that said 15-20 mg was harmful. Should I be concerned?

no, this is not ment to be a parody but the other thread reminded me.

whenever i try to go to sleep, my mind just goes bezerk. ill think of anything and everything that i could possibly think of, including what i studied, or what im gunna do tomorrow etc.

it normally keeps me from falling asleep and it sucks, counting sheep doesnt work, running 0's in my brain doesnt either, i just sit and think and think and not sleep

normally takes me 30-60 minutes to fall asleep.
