When I first started watching it, I
loved it -- primarily, of course, because of the brilliant way Hugh Laurie inhabits that lead role. I love the way that character is written and I love the way Laurie plays it. But . . .
I have now grown weary of the show. The plot premise is worn thin for me: An elusive ad exotic life threatening illness! Conventional medecine says, "Do 'Y'! After bouncing his ball against the wall over and over, House crustily and imperiously demands his team do 'X'!
But 'X' could kill the patient!!!!! House seems not to care!! His interns, despite House's recent record of 247-1 in eerily similar situations, doubt the hell out of him!! House is oblivious to everyone else on the planet!! The interns slog on, while House sneaks some narcotics to ease his physical and existential pain!! Shot of House on his motorcycle!!
Astoundingly, House is proven right!!!! More esclamation points die in the service of this plot than were used in the entire original edition of War and Peace!!!!!one1!!
See what I mean?
That House, he's soooooo cool!
How he manages to have
the exact same three days beard growth day after day, week after week, month after month, no one knows!!
And yet, were my anus fertile, I would have Hugh Laurie's baby.
