or any other alternative web browsers? i use Opera and just mentioned it in another thread and it made me curious...

I try it every so often. It's pretty darn good as of V6 but doesn't handle FuseTalk forums like this well very well.

yeah, I use it and like it. (awesome that it can display WML)

But, there's just too many pages specifically designed for MSIE (that I visit) for me to use it as a real alternative.
There's also a few GUI things I don't like. I think they ought to add an Import function for the IE favs (not just the one time at install).

But yeah, it's a nice, FAST, well written browser.

yes once you start using a different browser you get a feel for just how many pages are designed with only IE and netscape in mind. pc abusers forums looks terrible in opera. AT forums looks ok for me, although it is very slow at times. i still have IE on my computer, but i only use it on those type of occasions.

I use Opera 99.9% of the time. The only time I use IE is to get M$ updates because Opera won't work there.

I've been an off-and-on Opera user since 3.5x but switched to it full time when Opera 5 was released. It's by far the best browser I've ever used.I started out using Netscape 3.x back in the day and have always been looking for "something better". With the later releases of Opera I have found it. Yeah, there's some things that could be improved on, but you can say that about all software.

You should check out the Opera 6 User FAQ. It's got all kinds of tips and tricks for using this wonderful browser.

Hmm......, maybe I should change my nic to "Opera Fanboy"!
