does anyone use mbnanetaccess.com?

up for me...

RossMAN, MBNA has been good to me. Easy online payments, good customer service. I had a problem with my checking account where my routing number had been changed w/o my realzing it, and MBNA was very good about contacting me about the whole situation, and not charging any fees. (When the routing number was changed, my auto payment obviously didn't go through.)

i'm not sure if its any good or not RossMAN. It is my first credit card and I haven't had problems with ityet. Although I'm till a bit too new to credit cards so I won't be able to make a good evaluation for you.

wow, so i guess the website isn't down then. I'm going to have to call in then.

Works just fine for me.

EDIT: IMO they are good, MBNA "shopsafe" is great for online purchases (one time use CC #s)
I've been using MBNA since 98 and so far no problems here.

Thanks in advance,

same here.
I had some unauthorised charges on my card so I caled them to block it. I thought this was the reason it doesn't work.

It's been a good card. The only bad thing is that there is no number to call to speak with a live person listed anywhere on the site.

I love MBNA. I have two credit cards with them since 1998. I love the fact that my transaction showed up instantly online. I made a purchase on newegg, and after my order was completed i went on mbnanetaccess.com and it showed up as a temporary charge.

I have another card which is a citibank card. I hate it when it says "Temporary Charge" and it shows a dollar amount but I have no clue as to where it's from. Obviously if I remembered what I had charge it wouldn't have been a problem.

I have an MBNA card and have been very happy with their service. I have a World Points card which is kinda nice because you can use the points towards a lot of different stuff. I recently used some points to get a $50 gift card to Olive Garden....mmm....that was good.

As for their website, I know they changed the layout fairly recently (like within the last two weeks) and maybe they are still working out the kinks.

Works for me... they did change their interface last week...

I don't really like their online system at all. Discover's is a lot better and more intuitive. MBNA allows you to pay but they always default your amount to the minimum... and on the last possible day it's due... so if you ok it accidentally... finance charges up the @$$.

True that.
I've got the World Points card too.

How generous is MBNA's credit limits?

CitiBank/Chase offers me only $5k, Bank One/Amazon $10k and Bofa $12k

What would MBNA most likely offer me?

I don't know really. They increased my limit from $2500 to $3500 during the 9 months or so I've had it without me asking for it.
Do you really need another card? 😉

I use it almost daily. No problems.
I DO have to fool it into thinking I have another browser when I pay my bill.

MBNA seems to have one of the loosest credit limit policies. I think my card went from 2-3k to about 15k just while I was in college (got the card freshman year).

they continually increase credit limits without me ever asking for an increase.

Mbna is famous for the cards with pictures on them. I have a Boston Redsox card. I applied at Fenway one day to get a free batting helmet. 😛

My limit with them is a crazy 15K, they have upped the limit often; without my asking.

They have been good to deal with, but the late fees are outrageous. You will only do that once.

They quickly and efficiently dealt with a charge on my card with Dell, that I didn't make.

Online access has recently been revamped, but it's still working for me. My MBNA card is pretty good, it started with a 0% intro rate and now it's a fixed 7.9% rate. It also gives me back 5% for pay-at-the-pump gas purchases at any gas station, which is getting better all the time the way the gas prices are. They do give generous credit limits too. They keep creeping my limit up every once in a while, I'm up to $16,600.

Also, a bit off topic, but credit card related. I was confused about if it hurts or helps your credit score to have lots of available credit. Well, I looked at my score recently and it's higher than ever. I used to close accounts I wasn't using, but now I'm gonna keep 'em open. Because in the tips section of the Experian credit report it mentioned that as a plus. I checked my report since I wanna move to another 0% card and transfer balances. I was surprised, it was 768! And excellent rating, they top out at about 830.

I've had an MBNA card since 98. They've been great. They raise my credit limit every couple of months. I think its up to 14k now. I don't know what my current rate is. I try to always keep it paid off. There's been a few times when the web site has been unavailable, but I haven't had that problem recently.

Thanks for the replies.

If they ever send me 0% APR for balance transfer SPAM I think I'll sign up.
