Does anyone use "I'm Feeling Lucky" on Google anymore?

I can't even find a way to use it anymore with their ridiculous auto loading of result pages. Why don't they just remove it since it's functionality seems to be gone now?

Or is there another use I'm not realizing?

The search button can go too, since you don't need to hit it anymore...(except for dirty searches :hmm🙂

Type something... go to side of "search" button -> Turn "instant is on" to off.

Job done, go back to being lucky...

Does this hold through clearing cookies and temp internet files of IE or Firefox? If so I want to do this in all the labs at our school. A lot of kids are complaining about it.

I'm on Safari now, I could try later.

FYI if you're using Chrome, you can enable instant searches from the omnibar. Makes the Internet stupid easy

Well I never go to google's actual page, but if I did I wouldn't use that button anyway.

They said once (before the autoloading searches) that it wasn't used very often, but they kept it on their front page because it was part of their "brand".

It certainly makes for frustrating experiences in other browsers when it starts trying to connect to a website using my search terms.

With the search toolbars, it is F6, type, enter or F6, tab, type, enter for me. I never see their home page anymore.

I just type g <search string> in my address bar. G is for google but I have other searches like d for dictionary. Fully customizable so you can add any search in opera without needing to waste space with toolbars.

Only time I've used it is when people have spammed a certain phrase that returns a funny result using the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button.

Never used it, and I turned off Instant Search because apparently something about my search strings makes the page say "Click Search to search."
Well if it's smart enough to figure that out, why isn't it smart enough to do its instant search thing? So screw it, I'll just hit Enter every time. Woe is me. 😛

Google Advanced Search for me, "this exact wording or phrase" box.
Gets to the correct site, phrase, etc. faster without all the junk.
