Does anyone still play boardgames?

Just wondering. I'm hoping to move out some time in the not-too-distant future, and I was thinking about picking up a few to take with me; I still enjoy playing them every once in a while. Which ones do you still like to play?

Actually, my wife just picked up Monopoly - Deluxe Edition on Friday. My daughter loves those games. We play Scrabble, too. Sure PC games can be fun, but I don't think a board game has ever caused anyone to get carpel tunnel syndrom. :Q

Yes, but not very often, maybe once or twice a year. Sad, because boardgames are a great family bonding activity. Sounds corny, I know, but it's true. I have good memories of playing Monopoly, Clue, and Life with my brothers and sisters.

plus board games are awesome for little kids. they teach them to take turns, follow rules, etc. my son is a whiz at computer games, but those are so mindless compared to board games.

Whenever, I get together with my nephew, we usually play Uno - for money. $.10 a game or so - just to keep it interesting. I think a few years back, we were in Hilton Head and he was up up by like $5.00. It was pretty fun stuff.

lol, one day you see him in the world series of poker. "i'd like to thank my uncle, Tiles2Tech, for teaching me the finer points of gambling." 😛

yes.

Risk, Trivial Pursuit, and chess. I don't play them often, but if there's a group of us together with nothing to do, Trivial Pursuit + whatever alcohol is in my apartment = a fun evening

They're fun. My friends and I grab a few beers and sit down to a nice long game of monopoly while watching family guy DVDs all the time. Except my brother usually quits once he starts getting whipped complaining that the game is bullsh!t and the rules shouldn't allow for buying what you have the opportunity to buy... or some dumb crap like that.

played monopoly at a speech and debate tournament yesterday.
scrabble is awesome! and cuarto, if any of you have heard of it.
